I am simply one of many who did not have the money to get a console capable of getting DLC content on Guitar Hero 3 until after your (honestly quite confusing) choice to pull all DLC for Guitar Hero in 2014. Instead of saying "tough shit" to people willing to give you money they did not have years ago, how about finding a way to come to something of a compromise? If gaining access to the rights of these songs is the issue, how about advertising the hell out of the fact that songs are back? I would imagine that there are more than three people that would be willing to give up an entire paycheck just to download literally every DLC in existence (myself included). Besides, who wants to play inferior ports when you can have the real deal?Īctivision, please, bring these DLC songs back.
They are not the legitimate thing and the legality of sharing them around is rather questionable at best. These ports are just what they are labeled, ports.
In recent years, Guitar Hero has died and made somewhat of a comeback (if a sub-par redesign can be called a comeback), but the DLC songs have also been removed for those who did not purchase them before 2014.Īll hope is not lost for those who were too poor to get a PS3 or a Xbox 360 before 2014, there exist PC ports.
To many others, this game was regarded as one of the best (if not the best) Guitar Hero game ever to be released. To some, this game was a bit silly due to the ludicrous hit window on the Ho/Po notes. In late 2007, a game was released, this game was Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
